Our 2008 champion, Bob Woodruff, will be sponsoring the PNSCA
for the 2009 race season. Bob is currently on the board of the PNSCA and is the Track Representative for Spokane County Raceway. His crew chief, Connie Schmoll, is the PNSCA Treasurer and Secretary. Bob has been involved with drag racing for about 16 years when he hooked up with Mike Seekins. In 2004, Bob decided that he would try his hand at driving so he dove in head-first and raced every I-5 corridor race plus Boise. With eagerness, enthusiasm, and great training (not to mention his awesome crew chief!), Bob won the PNSCA championship in 2004. In 2005, Bob won his first Wally when he won Super Comp at the Division Six National Open in Seattle.

Bob wanted to go faster so he asked Dale Green at DG Machine to build him a 582. Dale ended up building him a 632 instead. Bob was definitely going fast now. In 2008, he won the PNSCA championship for a second time, finished 7th in the division, and is currently 2nd in the Jegs All-Star point’s standings.
Bob and Connie would like to thank everyone for their support of the association. They say that their best friendships have come from being involved in Super Comp racing and the association and they wouldn’t change a thing.
Having people like Bob & Connie involved with the PNSCA is part of what makes this organization great. Thank you Robert O. Woodruff Racing and Connie Schmoll for your support of the PNSCA as sponsors, board members, and very good racers.

Earlier this spring, Chuck Linne and his sister, Debra Johnson, traveled to Las Vegas Motor Speedway to attend Frank Hawley’s Drag Racing School. Chuck was there to take the classroom-only class and give Debra moral support. Ed Hauter also attended.

Debra Johnson and Chuck Linne at Frank Hawley's School in Las Vegas
Frank does a great job of giving you the mental and physical ingredients that are critical to winning rounds. I think Chuck will agree that going through Frank’s class is a great tune-up for any Super comp racer.
Debra, who lives in Michigan, took the full Super Comp Licensing class. She had attended a PNSCA race in Bremerton and got hooked on drag racing last year. Before attending the school, Debra’s only racing experience was backing Chuck’s dragster into his trailer. She had never have been down a race track prior to strapping into one of Franks unique student friendly dragsters!
Debra plans to purchase her own dragster this year and have Chuck maintain and transport it to the track. She plans to fly in from Michigan and will be a “lock” for the long distance award at the PNSCA events she attends this year — if we had one. Debra plans to complete her license prior to the first PNSCA race at Bremerton driving Greg Linne’s car that she hopes to purchase.
Some of our other PNSCA racers Greg and Darla Pessemier also plan to attend Frank Hawley’s Drag Racing School (classroom-only) in Las Vegas in June.
