Championship Heats Up at Pacific

This past weekend, the chase for the 2013 Power Punch PNSCA championship moved into high gear.  Two days of great racing ended up with the championship being a one-point affair.

On Saturday, fourteen racers competed, and the race was won by Randy Beck who took out Rick Dearinger in the final round.  The semifinalists were Dale Green and Earl Cunningham.

On Sunday, Dale Green couldn’t make the call, so that left thirteen racers to compete in the heat.  The race was won by Tory Lea who beat Amanda Larson in the final round.  Bob Woodruff and Chuck Linne were the semifinalists.

K&N donated racer certificates that were taken by Randy Beck on Saturday and by Rick Dearinger on Sunday.  The PNSCA also took up a donation for CancerMonument.com which, with racer donations and funds from PNSCA, it amounted to $300.

At the end of the weekend, Emmett McKillop had gained ground on series leader Tom Gresham and the two are separated by just a single point.

The championship will be decided this weekend at Woodburn.  Chuck and Diana Linne will be hosting a barbecue on Saturday night in their pit, please bring a dish to share and join the fun.  Look forward to seeing everyone for the season finale!
