Pacific Raceways Results

Pacific Raceways was the setting for the 8th race of the 2017 season.  This race was a double sponsored race. Jim & Cheryl Morris and Kelly’s Auto Repair added money to the payout.

Two rounds of qualifying found Dave Thornton #1 with an 8.906.  Snap On tools provided the #1 Qualifier Award.

Arlyn Staiger, Dale Green, David Thornton, Greg Pessemier, Chuck Linne, Darral Petitt, Dave Secondi, Greg Linne, Josh Schmanke, Tony Arthur, Emmett McKillop, Mark Gillespie, Tom Bachand, and John Theofelis were there.

There were 17 racers in round one, but only 14 had paid for our race.

G Linne got a single when Kapler was a no show. McKillop used a better light to force Secondi out, Pessemier got by Petitt, and then Green beat Hauter. C Linne had a great light against a slowing Theofelis, then Bachand got the better of Schmanke in a double break out race. Staiger hole shot Arthur in a really close 8.896 to an 8.894 run, Thornton had the bye and Gillespie had a single when Johnson was a no show.

In Round two, C Linne had the bye. G Linne hole shot Gillespie, Pessemier beat Thornton in a double break out race. Green used a hole shot to beat Bachand and McKillop won when Staiger was a no show.

Then on to round three where G Linne had the bye. Then Green and C Linne squared off. Green .006 to Linne .009 – Green 8.888 to Linne 8.873 – pretty close racing. McKillop then took out Pessemier.

Semi final time – McKillop had the bye and Green just got around G Linne for the win.

There was no time for the final round, Green and McKillop split the winner and runner up money.

Thanks to Jim & Cheryl Morris and Kelly’s Auto Repair for their sponsorship. Congrats to Emmett McKillop and Dale Green.

Our next race is July 22 at Mission Raceway.  Remember this a National Open, so on Sunday you will be racing for a Wally. Our race is on Saturday.  There will be a BBQ at Petitt pit area.

Designs Unlimited came with a new design for the T-shirts. Get yours before they are gone.  The price is $15 a shirt, with the money going to the prize fund.
